“Public deserve answers on Conservative Leader’s Silverstone Directorship” Cllr Jane Hollis
Liberal Democrat County Councillor Jane Hollis is calling for the Conservative Leader of Northamptonshire County Council to answer questions on his role as a Director of Silverstone Holdings Ltd.
Cllr Hollis said “The Council has loaned £10m to Silverstone and is investing a further £300k a year. The Leader of the Council recently declared at a Cabinet meeting that he is a Director of Silverstone Holdings Ltd, which came as a surprise to many people. I think it is important that the facts are made public.”
“I have put down questions at Thursday’s meeting of Full Council asking when Cllr Harker became a Director and whether the role is remunerated or not. I sincerely hope these questions will be answered in an open and transparent manner – the public deserve answers.”
