Elections

We would like to thank all our supporters and volunteers you helped us during the election campaign this year. 2010 has been an interesting year for this branch, we are now taking a pause and organising ourselves for the next District Elections in 2011 - plus anything else that may crop up. In the meantime this web site will be revamped over the summer period.

Lib Dem Literature

We wish to apologise to all the electors in the Daventry Constituency for the lack of Liberal Democrat literature. We changed Prospective Parliamentary Candidates in late March due to unforeseen circumstances and had to change all our literature accordingly. We just beat an extended deadline for printing, but due to third party intervention the printing was put on hold without any notification to this branch, and we didn’t find out until it was after the deadline for the Royal Mail to receive the freepost literature.

We have endeavoured to get some literature out where Liberal Democrats have been standing in the Daventry District Council elections plus some villages around the Constituency.

Once again, our sincere apologies, and thank you to all those who contacted us by phone and email with your concerns.

Unfortunately due to illness, Chris was unable to attend the last 3 Hustings, although members of the party were available at all the hustings for questions.

Listed here are the meetings our PPC Chris McGlynn will be attending

Thurs 22nd April - Moulton Working Men's Club - Election Debate - 8pm
Tues 27th April - Long Buckby Hustings - Long Buckby Church 7:30pm
Wed 28th April - Guilsborough School - 1:30 to 2:30pm
Sat 1st May - Daventry Town Hall Opening - 2-4pm

If you would like to meet Chris, he will be out and about canvassing in as many areas as possible up until the election, so please contact us asap to see if we can arrange a meeting in your area.

The Executive is pleased to announce our new PPC - Chris McGlynn.

It was with regret that our previous PPC - John Lathan - had to resign

due to personal circumstances. John had done a lot of good work to promote the party in the local area

in the 2 years he had been with the Daventry Liberal Democrats.
